Scrap Prices at Cars and Cores

There is an old rule of thumb that my father taught me a very long time ago. He told me that there are quite a few things in life that I won’t be able to do, so it was very important for me to find someone I trusted who could do those things and stay loyal to those people.

At the time he was discussing the pros and cons of car mechanics. Like many of us he had some good experiences with car mechanics and he had some experiences that left a bad taste in his mouth for years to follow, those people who took advantage or charged too much or out and out lied to my father.

The same words of advice that he gave to me regarding car mechanics can apply today in the world of scrap metal. The only price the average citizen knows about is the scrap price posted in the national and world exchanges, but it is important to note that those of us who turn in scrap for cash will never see those national prices. Rather we are left to deal with local scrap yards who basically name their own price for scrap metal in order to make the most profit that they can because ultimately they are in business to make money and the less they pay you for your scrap the more that they will make in profit.

So obviously, remembering my father’s words, shop around and find a scrap dealer that is reputable and will treat you fairly each and every time you come into their shop or scrap yard.

Which brings us to the scrap division of Cash-n-Carry, namely Cars and Cores. We buy scrap metal from you and we will consistently give you a fair price. And how do you know that we are telling you the truth? Simply because we are locally owned and operated, we have been established in the Savannah area for decades, and we want your continued business. Now that we basically have three divisions, namely the salvage yard, scrap yard, and glass replacement division, it only makes good sense for us to treat fairly any customer that comes to us for any reason because we never know if someone who comes one week for a replacement part for their truck might need to sell scrap the next week. We want all of our customers in each division of our company to know that no matter what you come to us for you will receive the same guarantee of fair treatment.

To us it only makes good business sense, but on a personal level, it’s the only way customers should be treated, don’t you think?
